How To Eat To Live Book II

Chapter - Prolong Your Life

EAT one meal every twenty-four (24) hours, if you are not sick. Sometimes, when people are ill, in order to keep up their strength, they must eat.

THE HOLY QUR-AN, in teaching us to fast, says there is no particular regulation set upon those who are ill. The sick are not required to take a fast and this makes sense.

BUT, those of you who are well and able to withstand hunger; you will prolong your life by eating once a day, because it soon becomes a custom of ours, when we start eating, once a day. You do not hunger until that same time the next day.

We are the God of ourselves and we can make a habit of eating once every seven (7) days. We can train our bodies not to desire to take food, until the end of the seven (7) day period. We are just what we make of ourselves.

But you must remember, that food keeps us here and food takes us away. The longer we keep away from digging our graves with our teeth (as the old saying goes) the longer we will live.
